what we can do for you, dear reader

Weirdhaus is a nontraditional games publisher because you are a nontraditional game developer.

Marketing

You probably did not get into video game development because you love search engine optimization or social media brand guidelines or any of that other boring stuff that is tragically necessary if you want to effectively market and sell a game. And let’s be frank: it is necessary. Rare is the game that makes it big on word of mouth alone.

Matchmaking

Every once in a while, you might come across a thing you want to do and realize you can’t, or you don’t have time, or you don’t know how to do that many voices. No worries. We can help.

Matchmaking is our specialty.

  • Programming mentorship (where we help you with training and guidance on programming)
  • Programming assistance (where we match you with programmers to help with complex tasks)
  • Voice direction
  • Voice acting
  • Audio engineering
  • Audio mastering
  • Project management
  • Legal
  • Intellectual property registration, protection, and enforcement
  • Character animation
  • Concept art
  • Background art
  • Original music
  • Music licensing & copyright clearance
  • Writing
  • Editing & revision
  • Special effects
  • Marketing
  • Public relations
  • Distribution assistance

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Weirdhaus can provide financial assistance to developers. This usually comes in the form of what we call “assistance assistance” — if you need, say, an editor, we’ll cover the cost of the editor directly.

What Weirdhaus provides to each developer under our wing will depend on what the developer is working on and what their vision is, as well as how our mystics foretell the future.

BEFORE YOU REACH OUT…

  1. Don’t tell us all about your game here. Use this as an opportunity to reach out and set up something in the future. If you want, you could give us a logline or some other quick pitch.
  2. If we reach out, we will ask you to sign a document indicating that you are discussing your project with us.
  3. If you are imagining that we will offer you $1 million to buy your game idea, this is not a thing that is going to happen. Imagine different things.
